Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar Cantt organised the annual day function with the theme ‘Ali, AI Aur Hum’.

Mr Ajay Goswami, Secretary, DAVCMC, New Delhi, Mr Arvind Ghai, Secretary, DAVCMC, New Delhi and President, Arya Samaj, Model Town, Jalandhar, Mr Inderjeet Talwar, former Principal Sai Das School Jalandhar, Vice Chairman, School LMC, and Ms Sween Puri, the Manager of the school added value to the event with their distinguished presence. The Principals of other schools and numerous other dignitaries also graced the occasion.
The honourable guests were given a floral welcome by Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij. The guests were escorted with the playing of the school band.
The programme was initiated with the lighting of the lamp to seek divine benedictions.
A soulful blend of orchestra, singing and classical dance created a divine atmosphere reverberating with melody and rhythm.
In the welcome speech, Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij welcomed all the guests and expressed her utmost gratitude towards the founder Sh M.S Bhullar, IPS, DGP (Retd.) whose vision and legacy is a driving force for all endeavours of the school. She also acknowledged Padma Shree Awardee Dr Poonam Suri, President DAVCMC, New Delhi, President of DAV Managing Committee, New Delhi, Dr Nisha Peshin, Director PS-II DAVCMC, New Delhi and Sh M F Farooqui, IPS ADGP/SAP, Chairman LMC, School for being perpetual sources of inspiration.
The Principal acquainted the audience with the umpteen achievements of the school because of which the school has got exceptional recognition as the beacon of excellence in not only education but also scientific innovation, artistic expressions and sports.
The school magazine, ‘Suragini’ was also released on this occasion.
The main attraction of the cultural programme was the musical play ‘Ali AI Aur Hum’ which is the embodiment of the thoughts of Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij and her team. The extravaganza showcased how Artificial Intelligence is infiltrating into our lives in numerous ways and having its hideous impact on relationships and lives in general. The presentation was an attempt to sensitize the audience about the sagacious use of technology so that it does not replace the depth of human emotions and shared experiences. The presentation ignited the idea that we cannot let ourselves be slaves to the all pervasive technology and must save the new generation from becoming victims to this digital invasion.
The students with exceptional achievements in curricular and co curricular spheres were awarded.
The chief guest Mr Rajesh Kumar Gupta in his address appreciated the efforts that went behind making the event a success. He stressed on the need to connect children with their roots and advised parents to spend quality time with their wards so as to enrich their lives and keep them away from the ill effects of technology.
The manager of the school Ms Sween Puri gave the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the event. The audience was totally mesmerized by the enchanting Bhangra performance.
