Every child is a beautiful flower that adorns the garden of Life. Children’s Day is a celebration of innocence and purity that characterizes childhood. The day was celebrated at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar Cantt with a lot of fervour and gaiety. Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij graced the occasion.
Ms Jaspreet Boparai acquainted the students with the significance of the day.
A poem was presented by Mr Sat Sangat Singh, a faculty member of the school. The teachers stole the hearts with their dance performance.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij also congratulated the students on Children’s Day and advised the students to relish their childhood to the fullest as it would never come back.
In the preprimary wing, a Tearing, Pasting and Paper folding Activity was organised. The students showcased their creativity. Through a movie, they were acquainted with the fact that Children’s day is celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Pt Jawaharlal Nehru. Fun games and sports activities were also organised in which the children participated enthusiastically. The children came in colourful outfits and boys came dressed as Pt Jawaharlal Nehru.
In the Primary wing, the teachers made the occasion memorable for the children with a spectacular dance performance. Children came dressed up in beautiful attires. Various activities were organised for the children of all classes .It was a day wherein fun and frolic dominated.
