Diwali illuminates our hearts with joy and unfolds celebrations and gaiety in our lives.
The festival of lights was celebrated at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar with a lot of fervour. Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij graced the occasion. The event was organised by Manasvi House. A dance drama depicting Lord Rama’s life mesmerized one and all.
The young artists from the primary wing also gave a glimpse into Rama’s life.
In the pre-primary wing, the tiny tots showcased the storirs from the Ramayana.
Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij encouraged all students to celebrate a pollution-free Diwali without firecrackers. She reiterated the fact that the best way to celebrate Diwali is to bring joy in the lives of the needy by sharing and caring.
On the occasion of Diwali, the school organized inter-house rangoli-making and mehndi competitions for students from grades 9th to 12th. The students unleashed their creativity and presented beautiful designs.
Diya decoration, candle decoration, thali decoration, toran-making, and tassel making competitions were held for students from nursery to eighth grade.
With the inspiration from Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij, the school’s Social Welfare Club distributed ration and food items to the members of Guru Nanak Old Age Home, Budhiyana with the aim of inculcating the values of empathy and kindness in students.
