Under the auspices of DAV United, the Police DAV Alumni Angels Welfare Society hosted a lecture by an alumnus of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar. The event was Inspired and guided by Principal Dr Rashmi Vij’s strong commitment to alumni engagement for the welfare of the students.
Cdr Hardeep Singh, Indian Navy, is an alumnus of the school. The lecture aimed at enlightening the students about Indian Navy as a promising career option and an invaluable medium to serve the nation.
The guest speaker was accorded a floral welcome by Supervisor Mr Raj Kumar along with the incharges of the Alumni Association, Mr Pushpender Singh, Ms Chandermohini and Ms Meenakshi Kalra. The lecture was attended by students of the Commerce and Science streams of classes XI and XII. Cdr Hardeep Singh showed a video to showcase the various aspects of the Indian Navy including the role of submarines in providing defence. He also acquainted students with the eligibility criteria and procedure to join the Indian Navy. Students displayed keen interest in the session. They put forward a number of queries which were satisfactorily responded to by the worthy speaker.
