“No Books. Just Fun, What a Joy to Run’
Under the able guidance of Ma’am Principal , Dr Rashmi Vij, Police DAV Public school organised a No Bag Day for classes ll to V on Saturday, ie 31st August ’24 in order to bring all round development of the students. National Sports Day is celebrated annually in India on August 29 to commemorate the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. This time No Bag Day was based on this theme to honour the legendary star , Major Dhyan Chand. Children enjoyed playing number of games like hurdle race, balloon race, spoon and lemon race etc. This not only helped the children to learn about the values like teamwork, sharing and being responsible but also made them active and alert. The day started with a lot of activities like
mindfulness and meditation to improve focus and concentration. Children enjoyed watching a informative story gathering information about first aid kit. They were guided about its usage and they learnt the names of different things in the kit. Information regarding the great sports personalities like Major Dhyan chand, Milkha Singh, Sachin Tendulkar, Vishwanathan Anand and many more was shared with the students. Lots of games were played and the winners were announced. It was indeed a great learning experience for kids . Students were applauded by the supervisors and teachers for their efforts.The whole day was planned and executed under the supervision of Ms. Gargi Sharma.
