VIKSIT BHARAT BUILDATHON

Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar Cantt actively participated in the *“Viksit Bharat Buildathon – 2025”* , an online event organized on 13th October 2025 by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, and AICTE.

The event aimed to encourage young innovators from Classes 6th to 12th to think creatively, apply their scientific and technological knowledge, and contribute innovative solutions towards building a self-reliant and developed India — a “Viksit Bharat.” It provided a marvellous platform for students to transform their ideas into working prototypes and nurture the spirit of innovation, design thinking, and problem-solving among them.

The ‘Viksit Bharat Buildathon – 2025’ revolved around four major themes that form the pillars of our nation’s progress and vision for the future:

2.Swadeshi

3.Vocal for Local

4.Samriddh Bharat

The event was graced by Principal Dr Rashmi Vij who has always been the driving force behind all ATL initiatives and innovation programmes. Mr Rajveer Singh, Principal, DAV PUBLIC School, Kotkapura and Supervisor Ms Urvashi Arora were also present on the occasion. Eminent educators from CGC Landran, Mohali — Mr. Manish, Mr. Laddi and Mr. Jatinder conducted an offline session. They inspired the budding innovators to think beyond the ordinary, explore new horizons of creativity, and transform their ideas into meaningful innovations. In the opening address, gratitude was expressed towards the honourable guests and all the attendees were acquainted with the purpose behind the event. Principal Dr Rashmi Vij accorded a floral welcome to the esteemed guests.

‘Viksit Bharat Buildathon’ was a mega event in which students from numerous schools from across the nation attended an online session. Around 40 young innovators from Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar also attended the same.

After the online session, the resource persons addressed the students and talked about four aspects of doing innovation: Empathy, Define, Ideate and Prototyping.

Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar Cantt extends gratitude to the Department of School Education and Literacy, AIM–NITI Aayog, and AICTE for this insightful session, which motivated students to contribute meaningfully towards India’s development journey.
