TRAINING SESSION ON DISASTER MANAGEMENT AND MOCK FIRE DRILL ORGANISED
A training session on disaster management and a mock fire drill were organized by the Disaster Management Club under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij at Police DAV Public School PAP Campus Jalandhar Cantt. On this occasion, resource person Mr Rajendra Sharma, retired fire officer, Jalandhar, in his awareness lecture, gave information to the teachers about the causes of fire and how to avoid the same. He stressed on the importance of keeping fire safety equipment and first aid kit at various points in the building. He said that every one must know the number of fire station so that the fire brigade can be informed immediately. He said that this information should be spread so that people can be acquainted with the action that can be taken if a disaster strikes.
On this occasion, the evacuation plan during the mock fire drill was given by Mr Deepak Mehta. A mock fire drill was conducted in the school under the supervision of Mr Rajkumar, Mr Davinder Singh, Mr Satwinder Singh, Mr Rakesh, Mr Manpreet Singh, Mr Ramanpreet Singh, Mr Lakhwinder Singh. The cadets and teacher incharges of NCC and Scouts and Guides extended their support in the smooth conduct of the mock fire drill and guided the students.
