Halloween, is a fun day observed in various parts of the world on 31st October every year . The celebration of Halloween is associated with the idea of good fortune.With the same festive spirit, Police DAV Public School Jalandhar organised a special assembly for children of classes, 2nd to 5th.The students came dressed in various outfits like ghosts, witches, vampires, bats and other interesting characters to mark the welcoming of good spirits and driving away bad spirits .There was music, spooky decor and the entire wing was decked up with Halloween themed decorations. The children enthusiastically participated in spooky activities like dances and songs. The students danced to the tunes of Halloween songs. Fusion of dance and yoga was a great hit and children enjoyed it a lot.The main highlight of the day was marching in the Halloween Costume Parade by students . There was much excitement all around. The school principal, Dr Rashmi Vij appreciated the students and encouraged them to respect all cultures. She expressed that the main idea behind celebration is to remove the fear factor from the children. The whole day was planned under the supervision of Ms. Gargi Sharma.
