INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED AT POLICE DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL

Independence Day is a celebration of the freedom made possible due to the sacrifices of thousands of freedom fighters. The national festival was celebrated with a lot of patriotic fervour at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar. On this occasion, students of NCC Army Wing, Navy Wing, Air Wing, NSS, Scouts and Guides Units of the school paraded on the tune of the song ‘Sare Jahan Se Achcha’. Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij inspected the parade in a jeep decorated with the colours of the tricolour.
A song presented by the school group song team filled the audience with patriotic fervour.
Through a short play, tribute was paid to the soldiers who sacrifice their lives to protect the country.
The Independence day celebration was organised by the Manasvi House.
In the primary wing, students through a short play showcased the hardships faced by a soldier while serving the country.
The day was celebrated with great fervor in the pre primary under the supervision of Ms Savita Sharma.The students presented a dance performance on various patriotic songs. The young tiny tots also took part in the parade and stole everyone’s hearts An activity was conducted on the National symbols of India and students learned about the importance of the national symbols.
Independence Day and Rakshbandhan were celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity on 14th August’24 for classes ll to V also.It is a day that brings a sense of belongingness among all the citizens of India. The celebration of Rakshabandhan festival signifies the beautiful family bond of trust and protection between brother and sister. A colourful function was organized wherein through songs and dances feeling of patriotism was displayed.The show started with an enticing dance performance by the girls of the sector .A scintillating group song performance was presented by the students of classes ll to V .The students showcased immense feeling of patriotism and spirit of rakshabandhan through a beautiful play which kept everyone spell bound. Around 35 children participated in the play. Principal, Dr. Rashmi Vij graced the occasion with her charismatic presence.Bhangra performance by the children was liked by everyone. The event was a great success under the guidance of supervisor ,Ms.Gargi.
