A Great Principal encourages creativity, inspires diligence and devotion, builds confidence, inculcates a love of learning and touches numerous hearts. This description aptly fits Dr Rashmi Vij, the founder Principal of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar. Principal’s Day was celebrated with great fervour and gusto, as an acknowledgement of the massive role played by her to establish high standards of excellence in school in academics and all other spheres. Principal Dr Rashmi Vij was given a warm floral welcome by the Supervisors. The maintenance staff performed a group dance to express their gratitude and love towards their beloved leader.
The teachers conducted the morning assembly. Self composed poems were presented by Ms Harpreet Mann, Ms Maninder Kaur and Ms Sukhwinder Kaur to express their appreciation for the Principal. Dhruvika, a student of class 12 expressed her gratitude towards the Principal. Cards and bookmarks were also presented by the teachers and the students. The song composed by Mr Nandlal from the music department was presented by the teachers.
Teachers mesmerized everyone with a dance performance on the song ‘Happy Principal’s Day’ composed by Mr Amit Sohal. The students also showed their love and adoration towards the Principal through their dance performances. The bhangra enchanted everyone and dance by the students of pre primary wing made the event more memorable.
The Principal in her address expressed how overwhelmed she felt at receiving such tremendous love and lauded the adorable gestures shown by the staff and students.
