Mothers are the real superheroes without capes. They work incessantly and selflessly to nurture their children and to make their lives happier and more comfortable. To express gratitude towards mothers and honour their tireless efforts, Mother’s day was celebrated with fervour at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar. Principal Dr Rashmi Vij, who is a motherly figure for all Police DAVians, made the occasion more special with her gracious presence.
The programme commenced with a musical presentation by the Symphony Club. A short play and dance presentation by Tejasvi House stressed on the significant role played by mothers in our lives and the need to be full of gratitude towards them.
Principal Dr Rashmi Vij in her address said that mothers are our saviours who nurture, support and guard us at every step. She reiterated the immense significance of being grateful for the divine blessing which has come to us in the form of a mother. She encouraged students to endeavour to make their mothers proud of them. The event was organised by Tejasvi House.
A grand Mother’s Day celebration was organised for the students of Classes II to V. The mothers of the students were specially invited to be a part of the celebration, and their enthusiastic participation made the event truly memorable.
The programme was filled with joy, creativity and excitement. Mothers participated wholeheartedly in various activities such as self-composed poetry , cooking, modelling and card-making competitions. Their talent, confidence and spirit added great charm to the event.
The Principal, Dr. Rashmi Vij appreciated the efforts of all the participants and distributed prizes to the winners. She praised the mothers for their active involvement and encouraged everyone to continue strengthening the beautiful bond between mothers and children.
The entire programme was beautifully organised under supervisor , Ms.Gargi Sharma. The event concluded on a happy note and was a great success, leaving everyone with wonderful memories to cherish.
