Education empowers an individual , making him self sufficient, enlightened and progressive. It like a magical key opens doors to countless possibilities. National Education Day reiterates the tremendous importance of Education in building the nation and the society. The day which falls on 11th November every year marks the birth anniversary of Sh. Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of Independent India. National Education day was celebrated at Police DAV Public School. Principal Dr Rashmi Vij and Supervisor Ms Urvashi Arora graced the occasion. During the celebration, Archit of class ninth acquainted the students with the huge contribution of Sh Abul Kalam Azad to the cause of education in India and the setting of various educational institutions and organisations. A poetical presentation made children aware of the immense power that education bestows in the hands of a person. A melodious group song expressed how education takes a person from darkness to light. Avneet coordinated the stage. The event was organised by the Literary Club. Ms Ritu Monga, Ms Preeti Chaudhary, Ms Ravneet and Ms Arwinder Kaur coordinated the event.
