Mathematics is a world full of mind boggling concepts, a labyrinth of figures and formulas. It stands on the pillars of logical thinking. ‘Maths Explorica’ was organised at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar in which a series of exciting and creative competitions were organised to ignite curiosity and innovation among students. The various competitions include –
Model Making Competition for Classes 6 to 8, Paper Origami and Bookmark Making Competition for Classes 6 to 10, Rubik’s Cube Solving Competition for Classes 6 to 8 and Mathematics PPT Making Competition for Classes 9 and 10.
Principal Dr Rashmi Vij graced the occasion and appreciated the expertise that the students displayed in the various categories.

The students presented their ppts and explained the concepts showcased in the ppt with tremendous confidence and enthusiasm. Students of classes VI to VIII showcased their deftness in using the Rubik’s Cube. Paper origami, bookmarks and models made by the students were also displayed.
The winners were given prizes by Principal Dr Rashmi Vij. She applauded the efforts of the students and motivated them to polish their mathematical skills that would come handy in building a great career. The event was organised under the supervision of Ms Sonia Kukreja and Ms Amita Rathour. All the Maths teachers coordinated the event and ensured its smooth conduct.
