The 350th martyrdom day of the ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, was commemorated at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar under the able guidance of Principal Dr Rashmi Vij. Speeches and poetry recitations related to the life and martyrdom of Guruji were presented in Punjabi language, in a series. On this occasion, the students brought the message of Guru Ji’s ideals, religious freedom and universal brotherhood alive through their words. Students were inspired to adopt good qualities from the great life of Guru Sahib Ji. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij Ji motivated the students to follow the path shown by Guru Sahiban Ji. The morning assembly was organized under the Supervision of Ms Urvashi Arora. Ms Jasvir Kaur, Ms Rashim Puri and Ms Savita Maini from the department of Punjabi guided the students from different classes to present the speeches and poems. Gursimrat, Gurleen, Ridhampreet, Ramandeep and Nishant threw light on the inspiring lives and supreme sacrifices of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Mata Gujri Ji, the four Sahibzadas and the other martyred warriors and made the students aware of the teachings of Sikh Guru Sahiban Ji.
