An activity to inculcate the habit of maintaining cleanliness in students was organised by the Sanitation Club in the Primary Wing of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, under the valuable guidance of worthy Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij and supervision of Ms Gargi Sharma.
The programme aimed at instilling the value of hygiene, acquainting the young minds with the importance of keeping the surroundings neat and tidy and promoting the message that “Cleanliness is next to Godliness.”
The assembly began with a lively poem recitation by students and teachers together, celebrating the spirit of cleanliness and hygiene. Their rhythmic voices and expressive gestures filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and positivity.
This was followed by an insightful address by Ms Falaki , who motivated the students to adopt cleanliness as a regular habit in their daily lives — at home, in school, and in their surroundings. She emphasized that cleanliness reflects one’s discipline, character, and concern for the environment.
To reinforce the message, the students presented a thought-provoking role play showcasing how small actions—like throwing waste in dustbins, saving water, and maintaining personal hygiene—can make a big difference in building a healthy and beautiful community. Their performance was both entertaining and educational, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
The activity concluded with a collective pledge to keep the school premises and environment clean, reminding everyone that a clean environment leads to a healthy life and a happier tomorrow.
