A guest lecture on the theme ‘Yudh Nashyan Viruddh’ was organized at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, under the initiative of the Government of Punjab. The session was conducted by Sh. Deepak Bali, General Secretary, Aam Aadmi Party, Punjab and Advisor of Punjab ‘s Tourism and Culture and Affairs Department, Punjab.
The lecture was attended by the NSS students of Classes XI and XII. The Chief Guest addressed them on the growing menace of drug addiction and emphasized the urgent need for collective efforts to eradicate this evil from society. His motivational words inspired the students to adopt a healthy lifestyle and contribute to building a drug-free Punjab.
On this occasion, the students also took a pledge to stay away from drugs and to spread awareness about it.
The school Principal, Dr. Rashmi Vij, extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to the Chief Guest for his valuable address. All the NSS Programme Officers were present and the programme concluded with a strong resolve to fight against the menace of drugs.
