POLICE DAV ALUMNI ANGELS WELFARE SOCIETY CELEBRATES ‘POLICE DAV DAY’
Police DAV Public School opened its gates to the beloved alumni for a day of celebration and reminiscence. The fifth edition of “Police DAV DAY,” hosted by the Police DAV Alumni Angels Welfare Society, provides a valuable opportunity for the alumni settled around the globe to reconnect and recollect their cherished memories.
“Police DAV Day 2026– Homecoming – Where the Journey Begins,” held on school premises under the auspices of DAV UNITED and the valuable guidance of Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij, welcomed approximately 130 alumni.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Ms Neetu Vaid. The ceremonial lamp was lit to invoke divine blessings. The senior members of the Alumni Society gave a floral welcome to Principal Dr Rashmi Vij. This was followed by the DAV Gaan. Students captivated the audience with a spectacular musical performance.
A quiz- ‘Know your Alma mater’ was organised which made the alumni recollect and test their knowledge about facts related to the school.
A dance performance by Aarohi mesmerized the entire audience. ‘Queen of Sheba’ and other games unleashed the enthusiastic participation of all the alumni.
Distinguished alumni Navjot Singh Thind and Sameer who are active members of the Society, made the event more special with their presence. Various alumni including Dhriti Trehan, Aastha, Arshnoor, Swati, Paramvir Anand and Shipra expressed sincere gratitude for the school’s role in shaping their character and instilling strong values. They shared their experiences with fellow alumni.
Dr. Rashmi Vij, Principal encouraged the alumni to actively participate in Society affairs, remain connected to their roots and contribute wholeheartedly to the Society’s initiatives. They must realise that as worthy brand ambassadors of the school, they must make sincere efforts to take the institution further.
The event came to an end with a vote of thanks by Ms Maninder but it left behind beautiful memories in the hearts of all the attendees.
Supervisor Ms Urvashi Arora also graced the occasion. The event was coordinated by Mr Pushpender Singh, Ms Chandermohini, Ms Meenakshi Kalra and Mr Deepak Mehta. Amanpreet Kaur, Maninder Kaur, Aarzoo and Anjali kant, the alumni who are now the faculty members of the school, were also a part of the event.
