ANNUAL DAY ‘VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM’ ORGANISED AT POLICE DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL
Annual Day ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: One World One Family’ was organized at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar.
The dignitaries present on this occasion included Mr Inderbir Singh, IPS DIG/Admin PAP and Mr Arvind Ghai, Secretary, DAV CMC, New Delhi, President Arya Samaj. Mrs. Sween Puri, the Manager of the school, Mr SK Arora and the Principals of various schools and other dignitaries also graced the occasion. Principal Dr Rashmi Vij accorded a floral welcome to the guests.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp to seek divine benedictions. The students mesmerized the audience with
‘Saraswati Vandana’.
Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij accorded a warm welcome to the honourable dignitaries present on the occasion. She also expressed her gratitude towards Padam Shree awardee Dr Punam Suri, President DAVCMC, New Delhi, Dr Nisha Peshin, Director PS -II, DAVCMC, New Delhi, Mr Gaurav Yadav, IPS/DG Punjab, Mr Anil Kumar Rao, IPS, ADGP, Retired Haryana Police , Vice President DAVCMC, New Delhi and Sh M S Farooqui IPS, ADGP State Armed Police for their unwavering support to the institution. The annual report highlighting the achievements and accolades won by the school was presented by Principal Dr Rashmi Vij. The sportspersons who had achieved laurels for the school at the state and national level were honoured.
The musical dance drama ‘Vasudhaiva Kutambakam- One World One Family’ brought forth the message of compassion towards all creations of God and how animals and humans must exist with mutual respect and cooperation With love, empathy and gratitude we can make the world one family. The musical extravaganza included modeling, circus, yoga, skating, zipline, magic show, juggler show, ribbon dance, hula hoop dance and animal dance. Children dressed in multi hued dresses and performing with confidence presented a spectacular sight.
In his address Sh Indervir Singh, IPS, DIG Admin/PAP applauded the tremendous efforts of the school in putting up an awe inspiring show. He reiterated the fact that the students, being the future of the nation need to be nurtured with care and the school is providing conducive environment for the same. Ms Sween Puri gave the vote of thanks. Bhangra by the tiny tots won the hearts of all present there. The programme came to a befitting close with the national anthem.
