A “Capacity Building Training Programme” (Skill Development Workshop) was organized for Hindi teachers from classes 6th to 8th at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar Cantt.
The workshop was conducted under the aegis of DAVCAE and the able guidance of Dr. Yogesh Gambhir, Regional Officer, Jalandhar Zone and Dr. Rajveer Singh Kang, Principal, Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar.
The workshop commenced with the lighting of a lamp and the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra to invoke divine blessings.
Principal Dr. Rajveer Singh Kang warmly welcomed both resource persons and all the teachers from various schools. He encouraged the participating teachers to implement the modern techniques discussed at the workshop in their daily teaching process. Twenty-two Hindi teachers from classes 6th to 8th from nine schools in the Jalandhar Zone participated in this training programme.
During the workshop, resource persons—Ms Manisha Kapoor from Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar Cantt., and Ms Ritu Garg from D.R.V. DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur—trained teachers through a variety of activities, videos, and PPTs. They shared effective strategies for making Hindi teaching more engaging, eliminating students’ pronunciation errors, and developing reading, listening, and writing skills. They also taught how to make the classroom more engaging by using artificial intelligence in the teaching-learning process in today’s digital age.
Teachers from various schools participated enthusiastically in all the activities.
At the end of the workshop, Principal Dr Rajveer Singh Kang presented the certificates to the resource persons and all the participants. Supervisor Ms Sonia Kukreja was also present on the occasion.
