Farewells are sweet endings and mark a flight towards new beginnings. A farewell party for the students of class 12th was organized at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar. Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij was the guest of honour. The preparations were done under the supervision of Mr Rajkumar and Ms Neetu Gupta. All the supervisors Ms Savita Sharma, Ms Gargi, Ms Urvashi Arora, Ms Sonia Kukreja and Ms Amita Rathour graced the occasion. The welcome address marked the commencement of the event. A floral welcome was accorded to Principal Dr Rashmi Vij. The judgement panel comprised of Ms Amita Rathour, Ms Divya Jyoti and Ms Kulwant. The music instrumental presentation was a celebration of melody and rhythm.
Emotions welled as the head girl, Khushi Aggarwal shared the precious memories from the first nervous steps into the alma mater to confident strides, all set to face the world. She expressed gratitude for the contribution of the school in shaping their lives and making it possible to build beautiful memories that would be cherished throughout life. The head boy Meher Bakshi also thanked the Principal for providing the right ambience and opportunities for chiseling the personalities of students, teachers for inculcating skills and values, friends for always providing support and for the dreams that all cherished together.
The speech was followed by the cake cutting ceremony. The group song, group dance and solo performances enthralled one and all.
It was a treat to behold students modelling in their colourful attires, brimming with confidence. During the ‘question’ round, students endeavoured to express their perspective on the questions put to them by Principal Dr Rashmi Vij.
