MORNING ASSEMBLY ON THE TOPIC ‘STEREOTYPE AND SELF BELIEF’

A morning assembly on the topic “Stereotype and Self-Belief”* was organised for classes 11th and 12th under the able guidance of Principal Dr Rashmi Vij. The objective of the same was to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of stereotypes and the importance of believing in oneself.

The assembly began with a brief explanation of stereotypes which refer to fixed and generalized beliefs about people, abilities, or career choices. Arpita of class XI in her speech reiterated the fact that stereotypes often limit thinking, create self-doubt, and discourage individuals from exploring their true potential. Common examples related to academic streams, gender roles, and success were highlighted to help students relate to the topic.

The importance of self-belief was then emphasized as a powerful tool to overcome stereotypes. Students were encouraged to trust their abilities, develop confidence, and focus on continuous improvement rather than comparisons or societal expectations. It was stressed that self-belief helps individuals face challenges with courage and determination.

The assembly concluded with the message that every student is unique and capable of success in their own way.

Principal Dr Rashmi Vij reiterated that by breaking stereotypes and nurturing self-belief, students can build a positive mindset, respect others’ choices, and work towards achieving their goals with confidence.

The assembly was informative and motivating, leaving students inspired to believe in themselves and rise above limiting stereotypes.

The event was organised under the supervision of Mr Rajkumar. It was coordinated by Mr Harkamal Singh and Ms Vani sharma
