POLICE MARTYRDOM DAY

Police Martyrdom Day commemorates the supreme sacrifices of the police personnel who selflessly protect the nation without caring for their own lives.

Manasvi House and Middle Sector celebrated Police Martyrdom Day on October 21st at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, under the mentorship of Principal Dr. R.S. Kang.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the worthy chief guests- Sub-Inspector Sandeep Kumar, Drill Instructor, and ASI Ravinder Kumar, Reader to DSP Training and Outdoor Training Instructor.
He was accompanied by Supervisor Mr Rajkumar, Ms Amita Rathour, Ms Sonia Kukreja and the staff members Mr Davinder Singh, Ms Neetu Gupta, Ms Suruchi Sharma and Dr. Manoj Dutta.

The song “Amar Shaheed Jawan Police Punjab De,” composed by the Music Department, was performed by Vinay Kumar, Bhavik, Prabgun and Ashish. It reminded all about how the supreme sacrifices made by the police personnel have contributed to the maintenance of peace and security.
Navkirat paid tribute to the brave soldiers of the Punjab Police by reciting a poem.

Through a short English play, the students honored the role of our brave policemen in our lives.

A wonderful group dance dedicated to the spirit of the khaki warriors was also presented.

Mr Ravinder Singh addressed the students and acquainted them with the historical significance of this day and mentioned that the day honors ten Indian police (CRPF and Intelligence Bureau) personnel killed on October 21, 1959, during an ambush by Chinese PLA troops at Hot Springs in Aksai Chin, Ladakh.
He also underscored that police never steps back from its duty and always keeps the nation first. He instructed all present to observe silence with bowed heads as a tribute to the sacrifice of the brave hearts.
