A special session on Health, Hygiene, and the Menstrual Cycle was conducted at Police DAV Public School, PAP Campus, Jalandhar Cantt for the girls of Classes VII, VIII, and IX. The session was organised under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. Rashmi Vij. It was coordinated by the Health and Wellness Club of the school as part of its ongoing initiatives to promote student well-being.
The session was led by Ms. Jagmeet Kaur from Procter & Gamble, who delivered an insightful and engaging presentation on menstrual health and hygiene. She explained the biological process of the female cycle, emphasised the importance of maintaining proper hygiene, and highlighted the safe use and disposal of sanitary products. She also dispelled common myths, encouraged open dialogue, and motivated students to approach menstruation with confidence and positivity.
The programme was highly informative and empowering. Students participated actively, asked relevant questions, and gained valuable knowledge that will help them adopt healthy practices and understand their bodies better.
