A Vedic Writing Competition was organised at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, under the able guidance of Principal Dr R S Kang. The event was inspired by the Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha, Punjab.
“The Vedas are an infinite ocean of knowledge. When we capture Vedic thoughts with our pen, we move one step closer to the path of truth and righteousness.” Drawing inspiration from the Vedic wisdom, the school organized this competition to connect students with the Vedas, foster interest in Vedic literature and develop awareness of moral and human values.
This competition was held on October 15th, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Anand Swami Ji, a great scholar, thinker, and literary figure of the Arya Samaj. Approximately 700 students from grades 8th and 9th participated enthusiastically. Students wrote beautiful essays based on the thoughts described in Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati’s immortal book “Satyarth Prakash” and on the life and thoughts of Mahatma Anand Swamiji.
