Model United Nations is a vibrant platform for considering issues of global relevance and engaging young minds in finding viable solutions to them. On the final day of PDAVMUN, Chapter Seven, held at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar Cantt, more than six hundred students continued with the discussions and reached conclusions by debating on various agendas.
The chief guest at the closing ceremony, Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij, was welcomed by the MUN Coordinators – Mr Manoj Dutta, Mr Balwinder Singh, and Ms Seema Sharma. The programme commenced with a musical performance by the school students who wove magic with their instruments and songs. Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij stressed on the positive change that all involved in the conference experience within themselves. The participants surely notice a perceptible enhancement in their critical thinking, communication skills and the level of confidence. She appreciated the efforts made by the entire team of students and teachers in making this event a success.
Following the Principal’s address, a classical dance performance by Jahnvi captivated everyone. A mesmerizing group dance also formed a part of the programme.
Aarushi Tandon, Deputy Secretary General, expressed gratitude to all those who had played a significant role in making the event a success. Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij inaugurated the e-magazine related to PDAVMUN-25.
Tanveer Singh, Head of Operations, thanked all for their cooperation in bringing the vision of a terrific conference to reality.
A video showcasing the efforts made in organizing the MUN and the highlights of the three days was showcased. The Executive Board (EB) officials appreciated the continuous and diligent efforts of the organizing committee and the teachers of Police DAV and the enthusiasm shown by the delegates. They announced the winners who had performed the best in their respective committees. Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij felicitated the EBs, OCs, and award-winning delegates of the 10 committees of the MUN. Police DAV Public School, Ludhiana was declared the Best School Delegation and the school with the highest number of participants. Following this, Advitya, Secretary General, delivered a speech, in which he recalled the tireless efforts made to ensure the success of the event. He expressed his gratitude to everyone for their cooperation. The Secretary General then handed over the baton to Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij, who declared the conference closed. The programme concluded with a Bhangra performance by the Bhangra team of Police DAV Public School, followed by the national anthem.
