Opening ceremony of 13th Sub Junior and 14th Junior National TchoukBall Championship organised

The opening ceremony of 13th Sub Junior and 14th Junior National TchoukBall Championship was organized at PAP Indoor Stadium, PAP Campus. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr Abhijay Chopra, Director Punjab Kesari. The three-days championship is being held under the guidance of President of TchoukBall Federation Mr. MF Farooqui, IPS, ADGP, SAP and under the supervision of Punjab’s newly elected President of TchoukBall Federation, Mr Munish Bahl.

The opening ceremony was initiated with the
march past of the players to the tune of the band.

Principal Dr. Rashmi Vij, Secretary General of Tchoukball Federation welcomed Mr. Naresh Dogra, AIG, Mr. Mandeep Singh Commandant
RTC, Mr Gurtejendra Singh Battalion and all other dignitaries and secretaries of various states present on the occasion.
President of the Organizing Committee Mr Surinder Kumar, PPS, Punjab Organizer Secretary Mr Rakesh Kumar, Secretary Mr Manjit Kaur, Punjab Cashier, Mr Satwinder Singh were also present during the opening ceremony.
Chief guest Mr Abhijay Chopra said that every child should participate in sports because it is because of games that a child learns to tackle defeat. Sports teaches a child to face difficulties in life.

Mr Abhijay Chopra declared the 13th Sub Junior and 14th Junior National Tchoukball Championship open.

All the players took an oath to play the game with the spirit of true sportsmanship.

Giddha, presented by the students, mesmerized all present there.
Secretary General of TchoukBall Federation Dr Rashmi Vij presented tokens of respect to the chief guest Mr Abhijay Chopra and Mr Suresh Sharma, Ex General Secretary, Kho kho Federation of India.

The demo match was held between Punjab and Delhi Junior Boys’ teams.

Around 50 teams of boys and girls from 20 states are going to participate.

There are around 600 TchoukBall players and 150 officials who are a part of the event. In this championship, boys’ and girls’ teams will play in junior and sub junior categories.
The Results of today’s matches are as follows –

In the Junior group, Gujarat were the winners in a match between
Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat boys’ teams.
Bihar won against Rajasthan boys’ team.
West Bengal boys’ team was declared the winner in a match against Uttar Pradesh boys’ team.
In the Sub Junior Category, Haryana’s boys’ team won against Telangana team.
In a match between Punjab and Uttar Pradesh Boys’ Teams, the winner
was the Punjab Team.
Punjab girls’ team won against the Haryana team.
