Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar had the honour of welcoming Mr. Delane Lim, President, International Tchoukball Federation, to the school on 14th September 2026. The visit was organised with the valuable guidance and support of Shri M.F.Farooqui , President Indian Tchoukball Federation , whose continued encouragement has contributed significantly to the promotion and development of Tchoukball at the school .
The distinguished guest was accorded a warm floral welcome by the Principal, Dr. Yogesh Gambhir, who personally accompanied him throughout the visit, introduced him to the school’s vibrant academic, sporting and activity-based ecosystem.
During his visit, Mr. Lim explored the impressive sports infrastructure, including the Basketball-cum-Roller Skating and Roller hockey skating Ground, Tchoukball Field , Archery arena and Volleyball Court.
He also visited the Activity Room, Learning Classroom and Playground of the Pre-primary Wing, which serve as important spaces for developing confidence, coordination, creativity and a strong foundation for sports among young learners. He was particularly delighted to see the enthusiasm of the little learners in the Pre-Primary Wing, where young students were already engaged in playing Tchoukball—an inspiring glimpse of how sports are being nurtured right from the foundational years.
The visit further included the school’s beautifully designed Library, a serene space that encourages the joy of reading. Mr Lim was impressed by its ambience and aura. He also visited the e-Library. A book was presented to him in the library as a token of love and remembrance.
Mr. Lim expressed his appreciation for the excellent infrastructure of the school, particularly its extensive sports facilities and the strong emphasis placed on promoting sports among students.
The commitment of the school to the promotion of Tchoukball and sporting excellence was reaffirmed by Mr. Rakesh, associated with Tchoukball, Mrs. Dimpy Malik, In-charge, Sports Wing, and Mrs. Preeti Khehra, who accompanied the dignitary during the visit .
