Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, was celebrated at Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar with great fervour and enthusiasm. The event was coordinated by the Yashasvi House, beautifully capturing the spiritual essence of the occasion.
Principal Dr Yogesh Gambhir graced the occasion. The celebration commenced with a speech on the greatness of Lord Krishna followed by a presentation depicting the episodes from Krishna’s illustrious life. The dance presentations brimmed with devotion and dedication to the lord.
The highlight of the programme presented by the primary wing was a captivating cultural presentation that depicted Krishna’s childhood exploits, and the timeless teachings he imparted to humanity. The students reminded everyone to imbibe Lord Krishna’s values of truth, righteousness and devotion in their lives. The event was supervised by Ms Gargi Sharma.
Janamashtami was also celebrated in the Pre Primary wing where a beautiful enactment and dance performance invoked feelings of devotion in students. The tinytots of Nursery and LKG came dressed as Radha and Krishna.
