The Legal Awareness Club organised a vibrant and intellectually stimulating Youth Parliament under the esteemed guidance and aegis of Honourable Principal, Dr. Yogesh Gambhir and the patronage of Supervisors Mr Raj Kumar and Ms Urvashi Arora. The central theme of the session was “One Nation, One Election.”
The event commenced on a solemn note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The Mistress of Ceremonies, Dr. NeetuVaid Sharma, accorded a warm formal welcome to Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir and the distinguished panel of jury members, Dr. Manoj Dutta and Ms. Tamanna Bakshi.
Participating students were allocated various ministerial and parliamentary portfolios, mirroring the authentic structure of the Indian Parliament. The parliamentarians presented their perspectives with immense conviction, backing their arguments with thorough research and data. Delegates from both the Ruling and Opposition benches addressed the Chair, strictly adhering to formal parliamentary decorum, rules, and procedures.
In his address, Principal Dr. Yogesh Gambhir lauded the initiative of the club and underscored the enriching significance of the event. He remarked that platforms like the Youth Parliament not only acquaint students with contemporary burning issues but also provide them with a vital opportunity to research deeply, debate constructively, and introspect the viability of national policies to reach a constructive consensusaccepted unanimously.
The proceedings concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where Principal Sir awarded certificates to the outstanding performers as decided by the Jury.
